Sirio’s ’08 Engine Lineup

RC Car Action - RC Cars & Trucks | Sirio’s ’08 Engine Lineup

Sirio plans to introduce their new engine line up at the Nuremberg Toy Show in Germany later this week, but we got the scoop ahead of time, so you can check them out here first. Sirio’s new big block engines will now include standard ceramic rear bearings in all the STI models, greatly improving the bearing life. The engines also have slight modifications to the piston construction and porting that’s reported to produce 9 to 9.5 minutes of run time in a competition buggy with the same class-leading horsepower. The .12 STI engine is fitted with two ceramic bearings for the crank, which makes it much more able to handle high RPM running. The engine blocks feature a black finish with laser-etched markings and serial numbers (Sirio will also keep a data base on the people who buy them to better serve their customers). The new line-up will include standard and STI models for all the buggy engines, plus a short-stroke BK Evo Kanai STI on-road engine. A magnesium head will be available as an option. We’ll have more information on these hot new engines shortly, but here are photos of the new line up.
