The Dodge Power Wagon is a legendary American pickup truck known for its ruggedness and off-road capabilities. Looking very much like a Dodge Power Wagon, ROCHobby’s Atlas 4×4 looks to replicate the iconic truck’s looks as well as its off-road capability in 1/10 scale. ROCHobby has been making steady inroads into the surface RC market in recent years. Its sister brand, FMS Model, is well-known amongst RC airplane enthusiasts for their exceptional RTF (ready to fly) aircraft, but their unique yet highly detailed off-road vehicles are still relatively new in the marketplace.
ROCHobby models are so detailed that they’re often mistaken for static models. But rest assured, this one can be driven!

FULLY DETAILED
One thing is for sure, ROCHobby and FMS surface offerings are abundantly detailed. They are so detailed in fact that they are oftentimes mistaken as static models, even to seasoned RC enthusiasts. With realistic-looking chassis, many precision hard plastic molded parts, and incredibly accurate details, the brands’ vehicles are a feast for the eyes.

The Atlas is a realistic-looking RC truck that is designed to look good while cruising over rough, off-road terrain. You may have noticed the official name of the truck is Atlas 4×4 Off-Road Truck RS. The RS stands for Ready-Set. It’s ROCHobby’s way of saying that the Atlas is a ready to run (RTR) kit that comes pre-assembled with a radio transmitter—just add batteries and a charger and you’re good to go. The kit’s recommended batteries are a 2S LiPo 5000mAh with XT60 plug for the truck and four AA batteries for the transmitter. The Atlas ready-set package makes it easy to jump straight into action.
With full ball bearings and metal gears, the power transmission is smooth and efficient, allowing you to focus on the thrill of the ride. Flexibility is a key feature of the Atlas, as its “rapid separation car body” allows for quick customization and personalization. The body hinges away from the chassis at the front bumper for quick access to the truck’s electronics. The pre-painted body comes with a selection of original personalized stickers to add a touch of individuality to your off-road adventures.
Equipped with 120mm all-terrain tires, the Atlas confidently conquers challenging terrain, while its 35T 550 motor delivers a balanced blend of power and control for an exhilarating experience. ON THE TRAIL
The Atlas looks great, especially at its large 1/10-scale size. FMS has come out with Power Wagon-style trucks before, albeit smaller in scale. It’s nice to see a large truck that’s packed with the same realistic detail that the smaller versions are graced with. Performance-wise it holds its own on the trail fairly competently, but we’d say that the Atlas’ strength is its realistic look. It is a perfect rig for those looking to build on its looks to help create a super-realistic-looking scale build.

This truck looks so good you could sit and ogle it for hours on end, which is exactly what we did when we posed it for this shot.
