During the RCX show in SoCal, we caught Mike Reedy and Jurgen Lautenbach of LRP at Team Associated's Costa Mesa headquarters discussing a 'classified' project. We don't have any details at this time, and the unit was quickly put under wraps, but it looks like some sort of brushless motor project is in the works! We'll keep you posted with any future developments.

Team Associated driver Jared Tebo took the win in the 2WD Mod class at the Pro-Line/RC Car Action Cactus Classic in Scottsdale, AZ, which proves the well-known nitro specialist is an equally talented electric racer. Team Trinity's Ryan Cavalieri won Mod Truck, while Ryan Mayfield finished first in 4WD with his J-Concepts buggy. What do these three drivers have in common? They’re all 19 years old or younger.

Associated Pulls Out of Worlds SEPTEMBER 2001

It's true—the winningest team in IFMAR history won't be in attendance at the 2001 IFMAR off-road world championships in South Africa this October. Click the link for the official press release.

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE In light of the recent tragic events here in the USA, and with the current instability and uncertainty as to future terrorist actions, we at Team Associated have notified IFMAR that we regretfully withdraw our drivers from the 2001 IFMAR Off Road World Championships.

We do not like to bend to the weight of terrorist actions, but we will not compromise the safety and well-being of our Team.

We sincerely hope that other manufacturers will follow our lead due to these safety concerns and out of respect for the many who have suffered in the tragedy of the past week.

Pro racers Scott Hughes and Jared Tebo take home $1000 at RCX

One of the hottest events at RCX is the SuperCross race. This year, Pro-Line’s Scott Hughes and his Mugen machine took the win and $500 on Saturday in the 1/8-scale buggy class. On Sunday, Team Associated’s Jared Tebo earned his share of the $1000 purse by putting his RC10GT ahead of the competition.
