Traxxas Unlimited Desert Racer IN ACTION [VIDEO]

Sorry for the gloomy video, lots of rain here in North Texas. The preferred BMX track was too flooded to run anything other than swamp boats, so the park had to suffice as a video shoot location–which only lasted about a half an hour before it started coming down again.

Until we get sunshine for a “Part 2,” here’s a look at how the Unlimited Desert Racer‘s chassis reacts to hard acceleration on a high-traction surface (4S instead of 6S, because on 6S the UDR will wheelie hard enough on pavement to flip over backwards). As you can see, the chassis barely torque-twists. The left-front wheel gets light, but that’s about it. It’s on 6S for the speed-running shots. The chassis squats and rolls realistically, and the UDR is most fun on loose surfaces where it can slide like the real thing. On high-grip surfaces, cornering takes a light touch to prevent traction rolling. Keep the rear tires lit up and steer with the throttle!
