When Todd was a kid he had a neighbor that owned an old Ford pickup with a two-tone aqua and white paint scheme that he absolutely loved, so he built up this kit version of the Tamiya LandFreeder and painted it to match. The LandFreeder isn’t technically a licensed truck, but it bears a striking resemblance to an 80s-era Ford, so it made a great starting point. He was going for a clean, old-school scale trail rig, so he kept the bling to a minimum. The tires are Mickey Thompson 1.55 Baja MTZs from RC4WD mounted on a set of 1.55 slot mags from Gear Head. The chassis received a thorough upgrade with aluminum steering, suspension c-hubs, knuckles and other bits from GPM Racing Products. The aluminum side nerf bars and front bumper are Junfac pieces.
