Further Description/Back Story So, saw the New Bright 2021 RC Bronco's were released, thought pretty cool! So searched for some variations of them and found a Rendering by Saleen. So knowing the new Bronco was of IFS design, I picked up a Associated Element IFS kit, a Austar chassis assembly and from Shapeways, a adaptor plate / mount to adapt the IFS to the Austar chassis. Everything went together like it was a kit!!

Direction for this build is to create a pre-runner style suspension. I used SSD Yeti rear lower control arms which gave me all the travel I'd need, added 110mm rear 1/8 scale shocks and the HR Racing sway bar. Front stock Element IFS was perfect with the aftermarket 110mm 1/8 scale shocks.

Then the body, I raised the flares and remolded them back in to the body. Then added a feature to the hood, the raised vented section, made the rear visor at the rear of the roof. Added the side vents to match the SALEEN version. Made the roof rack from a combination of solid 3/16" rod and sandwiched styrene, formed to fit the molded existing mounting pods on the roof of the body. I had to mimic the rear swing out tire carrier, made from 3/16" steel rod. I made the cage system also from 3/16" steel rod all brazed, this helps support the very thin New Bright body. Added the HR Racing rear sway bar and installed 80 wt. Losi shock oil in all shocks.

Decals were easier than I had thought, I used the Tamiya Blazin Blazer set for the Big Oly decals, then I got very lucky finding an HPI Saleen S7 decal set that had the perfect length SALEEN decals for the upper rear quarter panels.

First test drive was a BLAST! Handled very well, the 3s LIPO is to much though, next time out I will use 2s.
