Further Description/Back Story | This has been a project that has been 3 years in the making. The original paint scheme started as a sketch I did my senior year of high school. It was originally intended to be pearl white, but some mishaps arouse when painting the first body and it came out gold. The color looked amazing so I just stuck with it. This truck has been the figure head of my RC body painting business (Full Metal Artist Designs) and has been to more shows and events than I can count. Jconcepts first caught wind of this truck when it first appeared at the 2018 Showtime Solid Axle Throwdown event. They have this truck with the original body as the thumbnail for their video covering the event. I have recently revised the livery for this truck by keeping the original design layout but using an actual gold paint and adding my signature skull pattern in a faint gunmetal that just barely contrasts against the black. I have enjoyed this build so much over the past three years that I started a second truck called the All American Nightmare II. I hope that this build shows that just because you bought the cheap rtr that no one likes, doesn't mean it can't be turned into something amazing. |
