Chris Tosolini drove his SMC-powered, Fantom-motor Yokomo into the 1/10 Sedan Modified winner's circle at the ROAR On-Road Carpet Nationals. Chris TQ'd the class, ripping up Ripon Speedways Ozite with a blistering 24/5:11.45 run, but only won one of the triple A-Mains (Trinity's Paul Lemieux and Associated's Mike Dumas won the other rounds). But it's all about the points, and Tos had 'em.

Trinity's Josh Cyrul was the big winner in 1/12 Mod, besting Barry Baker and Mike Blackstock. Josh went into the Mains as top-qualifier with 41/8:07.73, and sat out the third main after winning the first two.

In the Nats other classes, Travis Schreven won Stock Touring, TJ Bradley took down the win in 1/12 4-cell stock with SMC power, and David Lee won the 1/12 Masters race, also with SMC cells.

Kevin Hetmanski went into 007 mode and snapped a few pics of Associated's prototype belt car at the Reedy Race. We don't know if it's destined for production, but we can all armchair-engineer it to death! Look here for zoomed-in views.

Tamiya is returning to its super-scale truck roots with this new solid-axle Ford. Leaf-spring suspension and full-time 4WD are promised, and a Multifunction sound/light unit is slated for the truck. Yannick Aigon, TQ driver at the most recent IFMAR 1/8 Off-Road World Championship, has joined RB Products in the R&D department. Yannick will also drive the XRAY XB8 in France to strengthen the XRAY French team. XRAY will work very hard on further improvement and development, and with world class top drivers like Aigon and other running XRAY, it will certainly help to speed up the evolution of the car.
