ON THE WARPATH – A Closer Look at Trever Adamo’s SoCal Monster Truck Warpath

In the world of radio-controlled racing, few names command as much respect as Trever Adamo of SoCal Monster Trucks. With a history that dates back to the late ’80s, Trever’s journey in the RC world has been nothing short of awe-inspiring. From the early days racing competitively at SoCal RC Raceway to earning his first sponsorship with Team Kinwald/Team Trinity in 1997, his passion for off-road racing has never waned.

Trever secured his first significant victory at the 2000 Race of Champions, triumphing in both the two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive open categories. Following that success, he went on to compete in numerous regional and national level off-road RC races, making appearances in various main events.

But it wasn’t just off-road racing that fueled Trever’s enthusiasm; monster trucks had long held a special place in his heart. Ever since witnessing the thunderous spectacle of Bigfoot crushing cars at Anaheim Stadium in 1986, his love affair with monster trucks was ignited. In 2004, he acquired his first RC monster truck, and although monster truck racing was scarce on the West Coast at the time, Trever remained steadfast in his pursuit.

ON THE WARPATH
Fast forward to 2016, when Pro-Line Racing unveiled its Destroyer monster truck tire and Monster Jam’s Zombie monster truck driver, Bari Musawwir, announced his 4 Link Nationals race. Inspired by the prospect of racing in Circleville, Ohio, at the Samson/Patrick Enterprises Monster Truck Racing shop, Trever took it upon himself to build his own racing and freestyle chassis. Little did he know that this endeavor would lead to the creation of the iconic SoCal Monster Trucks Warpath Chassis line.

The Warpath Chassis made its debut at the 2017 RC Monster Jam World Finals, marking the beginning of an exciting journey. Soon after, the SoCal RC Monster Truck Racing series kicked off on the West Coast, becoming a platform to develop and refine the Warpath Chassis. Now entering its eighth year of chassis building, the Warpath line has earned a remarkable track record of race wins and championship titles.

With an impressive seven RC Monster Jam World Finals titles in both racing and freestyle, five SoCal Monster Trucks Racing Series championships, and several Showtime and No Limit RC Trucks World Finals championships, the Warpath Chassis has become synonymous with excellence in the RC monster truck scene.

Trever’s dedication to the sport extends beyond the RC realm; he and James of SoCal Monster Trucks have also been involved in the world of real monster trucks. They’ve lent their expertise and passion to legendary trucks like Titan and Team Bigfoot, solidifying their status as true enthusiasts of all things monster-truck-related.
