Its exterior design was influenced by European sports cars of the time, featuring a long hood, a fastback roofline and a short rear deck. It was powered by a 2.4-liter inline six-cylinder engine, hence the “240” designation, and gained popularity in the United States and around the world, foretelling the success of Japanese sports cars in subsequent decades.

Built on the budget-friendly Apex2 Sport, the Team Associated Datsun 240Z is a scale replica that mirrors the lines and spirit of its full-size counterpart. The body accurately replicates the iconic sports car’s looks and details. Fender-mounted side mirrors, accurate bumpers and airdam, and classic wheels all add to the car’s fantastic look.

The 240Z isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s a true performer. The chassis’ A-arm front and rear independent suspension ensures control even in less-than-ideal driving conditions. Plastic-bodied shock absorbers smooth out bumps to provide a smooth ride on the streets. The active rear suspension allows for customizable toe adjustments, fine-tuning the rear grip. A sealed center driveline ensures a reliable power delivery, keeping dirt and debris at bay.

Underneath the hood, the Reedy 550 15-turn 3-slot motor delivers torque and speed, making the 240Z ready for tire-ripping action. The Reedy SC500X programmable brushed ESC, coupled with the Reedy Sport 550 brushed motor, ensures a seamless and exhilarating driving experience.

For others, Associated offers a LiPo Combo, bundling a Reedy WolfPack LiPo battery and a Reedy battery charger for a complete, hassle-free experience.
