Tamiya 1/8-scale TNX Monster Truck

Tamiya 1/8-scale TNX Monster Truck

Tamiya's Terra Crusher follow-up is called the TNX, and lops nearly 4 pounds off the original truck (3.5-4lbs, depending on who you ask). Much of the weight savings comes from the smaller-diameter, thinner-carcass tires--and we all know how all-important rotating weight is. Other major changes include an O.S.-built .18 engine, and a new chassis that spans from shock tower to shock tower (as you'll recall, the Terra Crusher's chassis plate stopped short of the front suspension, where a plastic nose section with integrated electronics box took over). Electric starting returns, but reverse does not.- FS-18RS engine
- Pre-painted Body
- 3.5lbs. lighter than the Terra Crusher
- Claimed speed in excess of 40mph
- Electric start
- Two-speed forward only transmission
