“King” of the Trail: Tyler Puterbaugh’s Axial Wraith

Mar 31, 2014 No Comments by

If you’re an RCCA subscriber or you snagged our May issue off the newsstand, you’ve already seen this Reader’s Ride between the pages (or, you may have seen it tearing up the trails in Benton, PA). Tyler Puterbaugh’s Axial Wraith is the pride of his RC fleet and looks great in this nicely-snapped shot. The suspension features King reservoir shocks from RC4WDSTRC aluminum links, and a Tekin 35T motor delivers trail-taming torque. But what really sets this project crawler off are its Pro-line Flat Iron tires mounted on Gmade Mudrock Challenger beadlock wheels. Looks good Tyler, thanks for sending us the shot.

I've been involved in RC for over 25 years, and first joined Air Age Media in 1997. I served as Executive Editor until 2008, when I went to work on the manufacturing side of the RC biz. Now back at RC Car Action, I'm thrilled to be doing what I love most--not just enjoying RC, but sharing it with all of you. In addition to RC, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife Kathleen and our wonderful daughter Audrey.
