We doubt phone-control will replace radio-control for serious RC driving (there’s just no beating a good pistol grip transmitter), but Kyosho’s new iReceiver system does look like a lot of fun. The receiver installs in the usual way to provide you with WiFi control via iPhone, iPad, or Android. The app graphically replicates a two-stick transmitter to provide control for up to six channels. There’s even a camera option! For full details, check out our Hot News & New Stuff forum–that’s where we collect all the latest RC gear.

About the authorI've been involved in RC for over 25 years, and first joined Air Age Media in 1997. I served as Executive Editor until 2008, when I went to work on the manufacturing side of the RC biz. Now back at RC Car Action, I'm thrilled to be doing what I love most--not just enjoying RC, but sharing it with all of you. In addition to RC, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife Kathleen and our wonderful daughter Audrey.
