Traxxas at NHRA Winternationals
We’ve reported on the Traxxas – Courtney Force sponsorship for several weeks now, and at last weekend’s NHRA Winternationals Courtney laid down some blistering runs in the Top Fuel funny car class.
Not surprisingly, Traxxas has a massive pit-area spread that includes an 18-wheeler with their products on display, a large display booth with all of their vehicles available for people to see and touch, and two Try-Me tracks. Everywhere I looked today, I found Traxxas decals on all of the official NHRA posters and billboards. They even got Traxxas onto the Jumbotron replay screen (see below). The Traxxas presence at such an enormous event can only mean great things for the RC market, with new kids and adults discovering just how cool RC really is.
Here are a few photos from today’s events.
- Spectators could pick up Traxxas product in this huge trailer while watching Traxxas action videos.
- The Traxxas Try-Me Track was buzzing all day long with new RC’ers smiling ear to ear.
- Traxxas even has their name below the huge Jumbotron replay board.
- A brief father/daughter moment of quiet between John & Courtney Force before the racing action began.
- Who’d have ever guessed we’d see an RC manufacturer name affixed to NHRA legend John Force’s funny car!
- Over 30,000 in attendance!
- Traxxas CEO Mike Jenkins & Air Age President Louis DeFrancesco pose for a photo before Courtney Force’s qualifying run.
