What a day! John Howell and I drove to Harrisburg, PA to check out Motorama. It’s basically the largest motor sports event of its kind. The building is huge and there was a lot to see. We walked in and were greeted by a very large car show that had everything from sport compact cars to lifted trucks and a lot in between. The arena was full of dirt and that’s where they had dirt bike, quad and 1/5-scale HPI Baja racing. There was an area setup for quarter midgets and another for go cart racing. The pit areas were even bigger than the tracks that the guys were running on. A large part of the show was RC! There were over 900 entries signed up for racing on the nitro and electric tracks and there
were lots of rock crawlers running on a big pile of rock in the middle of the floor. RC pros such as AKA/Kyosho driver Mark Pavidis, O’Donnell’s Barry Baker and Traxxas’ Steve Slayden were on hand to help out drivers with their cars and put on a great show. We shot a lot of photos and video while we were there. Here are a few shots for you to see while we download the rest and get some editing time on the video.
