Readers’ Rides: Tamiya CC-01 [March 2012]
Tamiya CC-01: Seth tells us that this truck started out as a Tamiya CC-01 Jeep Wrangler and the body was modified using styrene and various metals like copper and brass. It even has a detailed interior that was taken from a New Bright toy. It features a roll cage and a Tamiya Bruiser Driver completes it. We love the modified look of this truck and that’s why Seth is now apart of the prestigious Readers’ Ride club. The body was weathered with artist chalks, washes, bugging back through old layers and using real rusting iron paint in some areas. He tells us that the truck was built to use at MSD scale Nats this past May in the Street Expedition class.
