On The Road Again…

Tomorrow I fly out of sunny So Cal and head to the other side of the country…like, the entire way across, all the way back to Connecticut. I’m visiting the Air Age home office for a week, and then I’m happy to say that I will be racing in the 2011 Short Course Nationals at RC Madness in Enfield, CT.  Looks like the entire Car Action team will be there, with Kevin, Matt and me ready to lay down some laps.   I’m excited, as it has been a while since I’ve raced outside of California, and although I’m not expecting great results, I’m more excited about meeting new people, bangin’ fenders in the 4×4 class with the locals, and just hanging out at a new track.

If you’re racing this event or in the area, drop by and say hello.  Kevin, Matt and I will be spread out during the weekend, but  you can find me by looking for the the tall guy in a black RC Car Action t-shirt.  That will be me.  Come say hello and if you’re lucky, I should have some Car Action parts trays and decals for you!  See you this weekend at RC Madness!

Executive Editor I jumped into R/C back in 1987, when mechanical speed controllers and hard rubber tires were all the rage. Since then, I’ve experienced R/C in almost every state in the USA. I've built and raced every type of RC vehicle created, and traveled throughout the country (and world) to attend and cover more R/C events than I can remember. But what a fun ride it's been! I'm fortunate to live in Southern California, and I take advantage of my location by enjoying R/C outdoors year ‘round. Club racing is the future for R/C growth, and I’m always looking to bring new people into the hobby, whether it’s through backyard bashing or organized racing.

The last time you “didn’t expect great results” you stole all of the locals’ lunch money and ran like a bank robber.
