The gear box has an updated, narrower design to accommodate the new narrower suspension holders. Using the new narrower suspension geometry, the XT2 generates more rear traction.
The lightweight, tiny gear box accommodates 3-gear configuration with right-side motor position.
Multi-Adjustable Rear Suspension.
The all-new rear suspension features: a new adjustable rear-upright design, longer CVD drive shafts and longer, rear camber link. The new system offers a vast range of roll-center tuning adjustments for different track conditions.
All-new rear uprights feature multiple set-up options for upper & lower roll centers. The upper roll center is adjusted at the camber linkage via shims (up/down & in/out) while the lower roll center is adjustable via eccentric inserts for 9 different positions (up/down & in/out).
The multi-function uprights have the upper roll center position in the middle-axis of the drive shaft’s connecting joint to help generate more traction and increase stability.
There are three different uprights available: hard (included,) graphite (optional) and aluminum (optional), each suitable for particular track conditions.
To accommodate the new, fully-adjustable rear uprights and ball differential, the drive shaft length has increased to 93mm.
The XT2 driveshafts are manufactured from world-renowned HUDY Spring Steel™ and feature 2.5mm drive pins for maximum drivetrain efficiency. The drive shafts are some of the world‘s thinnest yet most durable drive shafts used in electric off-road cars. Treated with a proprietary hardening process; the drive shafts provide unbeatable lifespan and reliability.
Gear differential features all-new diff-outdrives designed for use with new 2.5mm pin.
The new stronger diff outdrives are the result of a new hardening process that increases lifetime and reliability.
The XB2 rear gear differential is standard in the Carpet Edition, offering increased on-power steering that is beneficial on nearly all types of tracks but is especially great on carpet and astro turf.
The super-smooth gear diff includes a composite case and cover with internal satellite gears that are precision-molded from special XRAY-developed graphite composite material, ensuring long lifespan and super-smooth efficient operation.
Spur Gear Cover.
Spur gear cover is included for safety and protection of the transmission gears from debris.
All-new rear suspension arms with variable shock mounting position either in the front or rear.
The suspension arm itself is rigid enough to provide a responsive feel, yet soft enough for extreme durability. The exclusive composite mixtures used for suspension arms are a perfect balance between reliability and performance.
There are three different rear suspension arms available: medium (optional), hard (included) and graphite (optional), each suitable for particular track conditions.
All-new, narrower suspension holders with new rear suspension geometry increase rear-traction.
The aluminum suspension holders feature Integrated Suspension Settings (I.S.S.™) allowing for quick & easy suspension-geometry set-up.
The XT2 comes equipped with offset hexes to perfectly match the width of the car to new suspension arms and hubs.
Ultra-lightweight 12mm wheel hex-drive hubs are CNC-machined from Swiss 7075 T6 black-coated aluminum. These ultra-true hex hubs have a clamping design to ensure ultra-solid mounting of the wheel’s hub.
To adjust track-width, optional offset wheel hex-drive hubs are available.
The tiny, yet tough steering blocks are comprised of composite steering blocks and graphite Ackermann extensions for variable Ackermann positions.
The blocks are molded from a special composite mixture for maximum strength.
There are three different steering blocks available for various track conditions: medium (optional), hard (included) and graphite (optional.)
Body & Wing.
All-new body is redesigned to allow mounting of the rear shock absorbers in the front or rear.
The XT2 body features high-downforce areas (including front window and top roof flow channels) for proper air flow and side downforce areas for higher stability. The high-performance, low-profile aerodynamic body was designed by XRAY to perfectly fit the XT2 and work in most track conditions. The body is made from high-quality, premium Lexan™ material.
The effective rear wing was designed to work perfectly with the XRAY XT2 body. Made from strong Lexan™ material; the wing is supported on the wing mounts by extra flat shims to better support and extend the life of the wing.
The XT2 features greased ball-bearings for the front steering blocks & rear uprights to increase lifespan in dusty conditions. The remaining bearings are degreased and oiled with AeroShell® Fluid 12 for maximum smoothness and longer life.
A full set of 22 high-speed ball-bearings are used throughout the drivetrain to ensure maximum efficiency.
Adjustable Gear Box Height.
To increase performance in high-traction conditions, the XT2 can use a super-low ride height. To keep the drive shafts linear, the gear box can be raised by 2mm using optional graphite plates.
With two different ride-height adjustable plates, you can raise just the gear box or the entire rear suspension.
XRAY’s Ty Tessmann achieved the first ROAR National Championship for the XT2. Enjoy the same winning platform that’s been tested and proven at the highest levels of competition.
Upon its debut, the XT2 won one of the world’s most competitive off-road series… the EOS. Hupo Hönigl won the Modified class while Max Götzl won the Stock class; making the XT2 a double-EOS Champion.
