It is with sadness that we report that veteran professional off-road racer Rick Huseman died in a plane crash near Barstow, CA on Sunday as he returned from Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas. Rick’s younger brother Jeff and another individual, the pilot, were also killed in the crash that was reported in the early afternoon. Rick was a friend of the Traxxas organization and also sponsored by Traxxas. He raced in the Lucas Oil Off Road Series and was the 2010 Pro-4 champion. Huseman and company were flying in a Beechcraft 33 Bonanza and attempting an emergency landing in Barstow. The accident remains under investigation.
