Traxxas Needs to Build This Rustler 4X4 [PROJECT]

Traxxas Rustler, fun. Traxxas Stampede 4X4, fun. Combine them as a Rustler 4X4, and it’s a whole different kind of fun. Traxxas doesn’t make this truck yet, but they should. Until they do, it’s easy to brew your own–just follow along with this Project build. Everything you need is as close as your favorite hobby store, and everything bolts right up–no modding required.

  1. The funnest truck I ever had was the HPI MT2 18SS. I give this build two thumbs up!

  2. I’ve done a few Traxxas 4×4 conversions; Slash 4×4 into Backslash, into Stampede 4×4, and finally into Rustler 4×4. So I can say that it is more stable than the Stampede, but I feel it still requires an LCG chassis to reach its true potential. But I imagine it would be rather difficult to make such a chassis, as the Stampede’s are crammed pretty tight as it is.

  3. The Jang of Ultimate RC, already did this. Check out the chimera builds based off the stampede 4X4. I do agree though, with the rising of Stadium trucks being offered (even Xray). This could be an interesting offer, that others might not can do

  4. Traxxas should do this one maybe offer a “conversion kit” for a Stampede 4×4. I would do one as a full RPM option build for big time backyard bashing

  5. They should absolutely build this!! I started RC with a Duratrax Evader, a Rustler equivalent. Loved it, but eventually wished I could find one that was 4wd. A 4wd stadium truck? What’s not to like? They could offer it tomorrow, and should.
