TLR’s Adam Drake Sweeps JBRL Nitro Series Finals

Exp Buggy Finals podium: Cody King (2nd) - Adam Drake (1st) - Travis Amezcua (3rd)

Team Losi Racing’s Adam Drake took home all of the hardware in the expert buggy and truggy classes, winning both the final race itself and the overall points series in both classes.  It was a long series this year, spread over 8 races including the finals this past weekend at Hot Rod Hobbies.  TLR’s Drake and Kyosho’s Cody King entered the buggy final tied in points, with the winner (or highest place finisher) taking the overall series win.
The finals was a who’s who of RC driving royalty, with IFMAR Worlds winner Atsushi Hara and IFMAR World winner Cody King in attendance.  Hot Bodies’ Hara TQ’d the buggy class but retired from the 25-minute main early due to radio/servo problems. Back to back ROAR Buggy National champion Drake took the expert win in truggy as the only fully sponsored pro driver in the finals, and then proceeded to beat both Hara and King in the buggy class to take both overall points series wins.
