RC Car Action - RC Cars & Trucks | TLR GEN III Radio Tray with Adam Drake [Step 6]

Adam Drake says that the new radio tray makes a considerable difference in his buggy and truggy’s handling, and for less than $40, the tray is a cost-effective upgrade.  With only a extra minutes of setup time and some attention to detail using Adam’s assembly tips, you too can have your new Gen III radio tray dialed in and ready for racing.

TLR’s Gen III radio tray (part #4401) elevates the high performance 8IGHT 2.0 buggy and 2.0T truggy vehicles to new levels.  Designed to move weight forward on the chassis and increase throttle servo life and durability, the Gen III tray is a simple, low-cost performance upgrade.  I spent an afternoon with TRL’s Adam Drake assembling one of the new trays, and here are Adam’s assembly pro tips.  For even more information, drop by RCCarAction.com for tons of video with Adam discussing the Gen III tray and the tips described here.

Follow These Step-By-Step Instructions

STEP 6 – Proper Alignment

Adam stresses that proper throttle linkage length is critical to providing optimum throttle servo throw in both directions.  Align the molded index markings on both the throttle servo horn/radio tray and the throttle linkage horn/radio tray to dial in the perfect linkage length

And You’re Finished!
