Trinity Products has announced that Sirio, makers of premium-quality racing engines, will be making a super high-performance 3.0cc competition-quality engine designed to fit directly into any Traxxas T-Maxx. This engine will include all of the painstaking detail and quality built into every Sirio competition engine, plus it will be specially designed to directly fit the starting system from the new Traxxas 2.5 engine.
The Alpha box is the latest product in Trinity's Team Magic line, and it's like no other box we've seen. It's dual 540 motors are custom-wound for starter box duty, and a "Power Increasing Gear System" gives maximum flywheel-turning torque. Holders for spare glow plugs and a glow starter are built-in, and a quick-release hatch makes it easy to get into the box without tools for battery pack changes or maintenance. An on-off switch prevents the Alpha box from turning on accidentally in your pit bag or trunk while in transit, and all you need to complete the starter is a pair of batteries. Good newsfor a limited time, Trinity will be offering the box with a pair of battery packs at no extra charge!
This specialized new mill from the World Champion Sirio line is designed to Adam Drake's specifications and it's tuned specially for the Team Losi XXX-NT and any 1/10th stadaium truck that uses a threaded crankshaft. This Adam Drake Edition will get you out of the corners without spinning the truck, yet deliver blistering top speeds to get you down the longest straightaways. An added benefit is the side exhaust makes it easier to install the engine and exhaust system under the body with room to spare.
Sirio is introducing a new high-performance engine that boasts massive .23 cubic inch displacement. The included photos suggest a 7+2 port configuration with a three-port exhaust. A turbo two-piece cylinder head and a very large diameter turbo crankshaft are also included. A skirted piston and a machined double-bushing conrod round out this big bore package. Supposedly a new engine mount is required to install the engine, which has small-block engine mount spacing between the bolt holes, but is wider than a standard small-block thanks to the much larger crankshaft bearings. A standard exhaust port is also used, which should enable the use of this engine for many other applications beside the T-Maxx. Many standard 90 and 180 degree exhaust headers already exist that will fit this engine. It should also become very popular among those who like to stuff larger engines in their car or truck. Now it will be much easier because the crankcase of this new engine is much more compact than a standard big-block. Engine will include mounting hardware.
Trinity Novarossi .12 This rear-exhaust, 3-port racing engine features a balanced, SG-style crankshaft, ABC piston and sleeve construction, a racing head with a standard plug head button and a slide carb. According to Trinity, this is the fastest ROAR-legal .12 engine that Novarossi makes; it generates 1.52hp at 41,000rpm. All we can say is that we can't wait to get our hands on one to test it for ourselves! Novarossi; distributed by Trinity
