The guys at Traxxas blew us away when they released the ultra-detailed Defender version of the TRX-4, and they just did it again with the new Tactical Unit. Now Traxxas has just announced a few more goodies at the SEMA show that will make you say wow. 2018 is shaping up to be a good year for the TRX4…
FORD BRONCO BODY KIT
First up is this sweet 1979 Ford Bronco Body Kit that will come with a trick sunset paint job or in red. It’s a direct bolt on piece and it includes a molded chrome grill, side trim, bumpers, side mirrors and it has provisions for scale LED lighting. You can add more realism to it by adding Traxxas’ optional rear spare tire carrier and chrome push bar.
Long-Arm Lift Kit
Also up on the list is a trick long arm lift kit that allows you to give your TRX4 that lifted look that everyone loves. The kit will include long-arm links, longer aluminum shocks, taller springs, extended driveshafts, and you also get a revised front servo mount to maintain proper steering geometry.
Beadlock Method Race Wheels and Canyon Tires In 1.9″ And 2.2″
So you want bigger tires for that long arm lift kit? Traxxas thought about that too. You can now get a 2.2-inch version of their Canyon tires to give the truck even more ground clearance. Also available are new beadlock Method Race Wheels in 2.2 and 1.9-inch sizes. They feature a durable composite center and functional aluminum beadlock rings.
YOU CAN GET A TRX-4 KIT!
Traxxas hasn’t offered a true build-it-yourself kit since they went 100% RTR circa 1999. The TRX-4 breaks that streak! It’s not totally DIY though; Traxxas builds the shocks and linkages for you, and unlike most kits, electronics are included with a TQi radio and XL-5HV power system right in the box.
