Further Description/Back Story This build was one of those that kinda got away from me. It started out as some metal frame rails for a custom 6×6 build I found on eBay. At the time Exceed RC was selling the Mad Torque crawler 4×4, 6×6, and the 10×10. The frames were a little odd but the axles seemed cool. So I bought a new 6×6 and a used 4×4, sold all the left over frames, electronics, tires, etc. and kept the axles.
I built the 6×6 first with no axle braces, the center skid plate is from a Axial Wraith. Links were all fabricated, as was the upper link mount. The previous design had a uni-ball that kept popping out under load.
After that the trailer was fabricated out of basic aluminum square and channel stock. I wanted the trailer to be powered and have full steering so the trailet has its own lipo and radio receiver to control the two ESC's.
The fun part a out this build was the electronics and wiring. All of the ESC's have their power seperated to run and individual steering servos, radio, and lighting. The ground and signal circuits are all that ties each module together.
Now we can have full control of trailer steering along with tow rig steering as well as a Dig functions allowing the trailer to be lock and the tow rig to pivot around the trailer wheels. Super cool!
Thought you mind find it interesting. I have some other neat stuff like an FPV dual jet boat that sits on a crawler type trailer.
