Further Description/Back Story | Jus wanted to do something different. Seen 6×6 clod busters and 6×6 crawlers so I decided to try my hand at building a 6×6 short course truck. Never seen one done and I like to think outside the box. I mocked everything together and went to work. It’s running dual hobbywing 4000kv motors and dual hobbywing ez run max 10 escs. Running a brushless omg steering servo, gens ace 3s 8000mah bashing pro lipo. The driveshaft for the 3rd axle is out of a 1/10 yokomo buggy. Tires are duratrax 2.8 belted lockup. Body is 2 pro line 1980 Chevy c10 bodies. Used tekno blue springs in the rear and orange springs in the front to support the added weight. Chassis is 2 modified tekno sct410.3 chassis connected together with 5/16 aluminum braces. Which also acts as support for the chassis to reduce any flexing from the added length. Radio is a spektrum dx5c. Installed a protek glitch buster to prevent any voltage glitches with running the dual systems. So far it’s been working great. Project will continue to be improved and grow. For a 6×6 it has no problem busting out some cool donuts and wheelies. |
