Further Description/Back Story | I soon got bored with the stock half cab bodies, so I bought some model kits – the black Ford F-100, and the teal 66 Suburban. The Suburban needed something more, so I designed and 3d-printed the roof rack. I might add some 3d-printed scale accessories to both trucks, but for right now, I like them the way they are. I mounted the body with pins in the front of both, but Velcro and magnets in the rear. My two brothers built the actual model kits, and I painted, designed and 3D printed the accessories, and assembled each rig. (We are all in our early teens, by the way). Performance probably went down, but they look spectacular!
The Teal Suburban got a 3d printed roof rack, and the black Ford FD-100 has a wood decal bed that looks authentic, along with wheels and tires from a 1/24 Ambush. |
