Anthony Stephens’ little Ambush Shorty Van is proof you don’t need a big truck to have big fun. Anthony received his Ambush as a gift, and he was excited because the plethora of static model kit bodies available in this scale gave him lots of parts to work with. He chose the old-school shorty van because he’s partial to the look and it gave him tons of room for electronics. He added headlights and taillights, plus a bunch of scale camping gear on a roof rack. The ladder, window louvers, and jerry can were salvaged from other kits and scraps. The antenna is a guitar string. He ditched the front springs from the shocks to give the ride more realism, and widened the wheels. The chrome wheels are from a static kit and screw on over the wheel nut like hubcaps.
