We know for certain that Trinity is currently developing electric and nitro touring platforms to be dubbed the Reflex T and Reflex NT. Jim Dieter, Trinity's motor man, accomplished designer, and skilled racer in his own right, is said to be the primary architect of the project (you may remember Trinity used the Reflex name for a Jim Dieter-designed dirt oval car back in the day). It's rumored that ace driver Josh Cyrul will race a test mule at the upcoming Reedy Touring Car Race of Champions. When we get more information on the cars' details, we'll be sure to let you know, but in the meantime Trinity has confirmed that the nitro-powered Reflex will be the first to hit the shelves.
Team Corally's Chris Tosolini gives a victory salute (and a great plug for Airtronics) after winning Touring Mod at the ROAR Carpet Nats, held at West Haven CT's Hobby Chamber. The event also saw victories for Team Trinity/XRAY's Mike Dumas in 19T Touring, and the first-ever win for a brushless system at a ROAR nats as Team Associated's Jon Orr won 1/12 Mod using an LRP Sphere and Reedy NEO-1 brushless combo.
The 3rd annual RC Superbike Challenge just went down at KZ Speedway, and Jared Tebo was the celebrity race winner. Kyosho supplied their super-realistic bikes for the celeb race. More coverage of the other classes soon, More info here.
We'll have "official" coverage starting Monday, but you can satisfy your new-product jones in the meantime by clicking over to "Hot News and New Stuff" at the RC Zone BB. Today is a show-setup day, but we plan to sneak some gear out of the booths when nobody is looking. Click back often!
Kevin Hetmanski went into 007 mode and snapped a few pics of Associated's prototype belt car at the Reedy Race. We don't know if it's destined for production, but we can all armchair-engineer it to death! Look here for zoomed-in views.
We've been waiting for this since the electric Half-8 was released! Kyosho won't be the first with a nitro mini-buggy (even though they invented the category!) but you can expect the Nitro Mini Inferno to be one of (if not THE) best. Talk about it.
