Josh Cyrul Wins the U.S. Indoor Champs

Josh Cyrul Wins the U.S. Indoor Champs

Josh Cyrul was on a roll in Cleveland over the Thanksgiving holiday at the U.S. Indoor Champs. Cyrul won the highly anticipated Mod Sedan class for Team XRAY after getting around TQ and Team Losi driver Paul Lemieux at the start of the race. Cyrul never looked back although he was pursued by the eager Losi driver to the very end. Josh’s winning streak continued during the 1/12 Mod class and easily won the race even though several other drivers – including TQ Mike Blackstock – were in the hunt.

Losi Sweeps Stock Nats JUNE 2001

Drivers from all over gathered at CRCRC Raceway in Columbus, OH, for the 2001 ROAR Off-Road Stock Nationals. Many new and talented drivers ran in all five classes, but when the dust settled after the Mains, the Losi crew and drivers came out on top. Drew Loftus took the Junior buggy class, Torry Hadley won in the Masters truck division, Jason Ladow took top honors in the Stock Buggy class, Eric Clark won Stock Truck and Jonathan Noon completed Losi's winning streak by taking the victory in four-wheel drive. Congratulations to the participants, the winners and the track officials on a well-run, exciting race. Stay tuned to a future issue of Radio Control Car Action for an in-depth race report.

We do not like to bend to the weight of terrorist actions, but we will not compromise the safety and well-being of our Team.

Trinity Spyder Monster Truck

Trinity Spyder Monster Truck

Here’s a close-up Trinity’s all-new nitro-powered Spyder monster truck. The big-block RTR features a .256 cubic-inch engine and comes with an aluminum tuned pipe, has an eight shock suspension, two-speed tranny with reverse, factory-painted body, dual-disc brakes and a shaft starting system. The drivetrain is mounted in a very narrow ladder-style chassis and the center-mounted engine is very low in the chassis to lower the center of gravity for improved handling. A big 170cc fuel tank provides long run times between refills, and on-the-fly fueling via the quick-fill cap means you can run as long as you have fuel. The Spyder fits engines with typical big-block dimensions, so pyscho upgrades like the Sirio .27 engine push speeds from fast to insane. Click Here for more pictures and information.

Features: • full bearings • 8 aluminum shocks • ladder-style chassis • aluminum tuned pipe • 2-speed transmission with reverse •.256 engine • Pivot ball/hingepin hybrid suspension • High-torque steering servo • Shaft starting system with included starter unit • Includes rechargeable glow-starter with wall charger and fuel bottle • Factory-finished body

Tamiya 1/8-scale TNX Monster Truck

Tamiya 1/8-scale TNX Monster Truck

Tamiya's Terra Crusher follow-up is called the TNX, and lops nearly 4 pounds off the original truck (3.5-4lbs, depending on who you ask). Much of the weight savings comes from the smaller-diameter, thinner-carcass tires--and we all know how all-important rotating weight is. Other major changes include an O.S.-built .18 engine, and a new chassis that spans from shock tower to shock tower (as you'll recall, the Terra Crusher's chassis plate stopped short of the front suspension, where a plastic nose section with integrated electronics box took over). Electric starting returns, but reverse does not.- FS-18RS engine
- Pre-painted Body
- 3.5lbs. lighter than the Terra Crusher
- Claimed speed in excess of 40mph
- Electric start
- Two-speed forward only transmission
