Nuremberg News: 10 New Tamiya Cars Announced!

It’s Nuremberg Toy Fair time again, where the entire hobby and toy industry descends on Nuremberg, Germany to show off all their wares. Tamiya is always a big draw, and they’re kicking out their latest rides now with a lot of action on the TT-02 chassis, plus some stuff that can be best described as “very Tamiya.” Feast your eyes, and get more details in our Hot News & New Stuff forum.

Tamiya RC Mitsubishi Pajero Rally - CC01

Mitsubishi Pajero Rally – CC01
Much love for the CC0-01 platform, which earns lots of scaler love for its solid rear axle and full-fenderwell chassis. We’re loving it in this rally-flavored Pajero version.

Nissan Skyline GT-R R33 – TT-02D
That’s “D” as in “Drift,” and Tamiya’s low-buck sideways sled is a great way to get into the scene, especially in classic Skyline lexan.

NISMO R34 GT-R Z-Tune – TT02D Drift Spec
…or, go Nismo! Same specs under the body for shaft-driven sideways driving.

Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI – TT-02 Martini
Alfa’s classic Martini livery is a fan favorite. For this TT-02, there’s no “D” so that means it wears soft rubber tires for road-racing action.

Subaru BRZ R&D Sport 2014 – TT-02 Rd.2 Fuji
Another look for the TT02, this new plastic captures the styling and graphics of Subaru BRZ GT300-class race car.

Sandshaker – TT02T
That’s “T” as in “Truck,” and a fun, easy build for first-timers. TT-02s of any variety are great kits for new builders.

Aqroshot – DT-03T
This is the truck version of Tamiya’s DT-03, which debuted as the Neo Fighter. Looks like a fun street thrasher. Let’s see what it can do on 3S…

Honda City Turbo – WR02C
YES. Want this one bad. Tamiya isn’t calling it “Willy’s Wheeler” as the body style was first known, but we know what it is. The Honda City Turbo is rolling out on the same wheelie-poppin’ chassis as the Wild Willy 2000.

4WD Dark Impact White Ver. – DF03 Off-Road
Whaaaaat? This Dark Impact is all white? Kinda takes the whole “Dark” thing out of it, but dang if it doesn’t look cool. I want one just to display. It’s like the Ghost of Dark Impact.

TT-02R Chassis Kit – TT02
And one more TT-02, this one with all the hop-up fixin’s. You pick the body.
