Novak Havoc Spec Brushless System

RC Car Action - RC Cars & Trucks | Novak Havoc Spec Brushless System

New from Novak:

The Havoc Spec Brushless System may look similar to the Havoc Sport Sensored System, but it’s specifically made for a different class of racers — spec-class racers. Novak has combined the award-winning SS Pro motors with the Havoc Sport ESC to equal four of the most inexpensive, club-level spec-racing systems on the market. The Havoc Spec Brushless Systems – 10.5, 13.5, 17.5 & 21.5 (#3033 – #3036) are ideal for racing at local clubs and tracks, such as spec-oval racing, vintage Trans-Am racing and any form of club-level brushless-spec racing. Plus, the systems are ROAR approved. The SS Pro motors are sensored for low-speed driveability and consistent brakes, and the Havoc ESC features nine adjustable parameters to fine-tune brake and throttle response. The Havoc ESC also offers most of the features and adjustability as Novak’s top-of-the-line GTB Programmable Brushless/Brush ESC, including Li-Po Cut-Off Circuitry, but is more affordable. So combined, the Havoc ESC and SS Pro motors offer a great system at a great price to get you club-level spec racing in no time.

WHICH HAVOC SPEC TO CHOOSE?

The Havoc Spec Brushless Systems are available in four motor turns.

  • SS10.5 Pro Brushless Motor is 10.5 turns and approved for ROAR spec-brushless racing (#3033)
  • SS13.5 Pro Stock Brushless Motor is 13.5 turns and ROAR approved for spec-brushless racing (#3034)
  • SS17.5 Pro Brushless Motor is 17.5 turns and is ideal for use in vintage Trans-Am racing and is approved for ROAR spec-brushless racing (#3035)
  • SS21.5 Pro Brushless Motor is 21.5 turns and is the slowest motor in the SS Pro Series. It was specifically designed to offer oval, vintage Trans-Am and beginning drivers an even slower option, which makes it ideal for extended run times (#3036).

CATCH ME, IF YOU CAN

The Havoc System is the ultimate spec-class racing package. It’s the most affordable sensored-spec system on the market and offers long runtimes with sport packs. Each SS Pro motor is equipped with a nickel-plated sintered Neodymium rotor for maximum motor acceleration, braking power and performance in high-temperature conditions, and Thermal Overload technology to ensure the motor is operating at a safe temperature. The SS Pro motors also feature a shielded-sensor cable and a completely rebuildable design, allowing for the ability to upgrade or replace various motor parts. In addition, each motor is identified by a color-specific timing ring for simple differentiation between spec motors: 10.5 – blue, 13.5 – orange, 17.5 – yellow and 21.5 – green.

For top speed spec-racing performance, Novak recommends the GTB line of ESCs.

RACE-REACY ESC

For those interested in fine tuning, the Havoc ESC offers a simple interface, making the system completely programmable with vast customization opportunities. One parameter, in particular, is Novak’s new Throttle Curve that gives drivers the ability to experiment with two throttle responses – Linear and Expo – which range between a quick burst of power to a smoother, more controlled low-end power delivery. In addition, the Havoc’s Brake Frequency adjustment features seven degrees of adjustability from a smooth and controllable brake to a more abrupt and grabbier feel. Moreover, Novak has also built into the ESC Li-Po Cut-Off Circuitry, which prevents the batteries from going below the critical safety voltage level. For further racing opportunities, Novak installed a Reverse Disable feature to turn the Havoc into a forward-only brushless system for club-level racing.

The Havoc ESC also contains Thermal Overload Protection to protect the system from overheating and damage. In fact, the ESC will only operate with sensored-brushless motors that include thermal protection as well, such as Novak’s SS Pro Brushless Motors (#3408 – #3421.) This sophisticated feature ensures a fun day at the track without the worry of overheating.
