This well-weathered workhorse of a Reader’s Ride comes to us from Matthew Lane. Like many scale builds, there’s a modified Axial SCX10 chassis beneath the bodywork. The frame rails have been chromed to make them stand out, and an aluminum 4-link suspension helps the hammered hauler get around in the woods. The body is the real star. Working with a Tamiya Clod Buster hard body, Matthew massaged the plastic to look like it hit a few trees in its lifetime, and machined custom aluminum bumpers give it a beefy look. Other details include a 3 Racing wireless winch, custom ladder rack with scale wood mounted to it, and RC4WD wheels. The wheels were given a weathered look to match the beat-up body.
