Losi Motorsports Tour – Run your Losi at your local track

We recently learned about a neat program that the good folks over at Losi have put together to get owners of Losi RC vehicles out to their local tracks for a fun day of track time. Whether you have one of their 1969 Camaro no-prep drag cars, Lasernut U4 rock racers or one of their awesome LMT Solid Axle 4WD monster trucks, Losi has you and your ride covered.

Supporting grassroots programs is what the Losi Motorsports Tour is all about and promoting racing events in your local RC community is what they have set out to do. It is their goal to represent regional racing events all across the country and provide a way to find exciting racing events near you.

The tour covers Monster Truck, No Prep Drag, U4RC, and Oval races by sharing photos, videos and a calendar of events through their Losi Motorsports Tour Facebook group (facebook.com/groups/769450830505743). That may be a long URL to type in, but it’s well worth the effort. In this private group, you’ll see incredible images, learn valuable Losi vehicle specific tips and tricks, and find the latest news on races in your neck of the woods. Just charge your batteries and go!

Losi Motorsports Tour Categories

Monster Truck
Just like the real-world counterparts, these 1/10 or larger monster trucks take on any terrain. Featuring massive suspensions, over-sized tires and big, big horsepower, monster truck racers take on all comers.

No Prep Drag
RC drag racing is not new, has been around since the beginning of the RC hobby, and the genuinely passionate have kept these straight-line vehicles going for many years. No Prep Drag Racing (NPRC) is a scaled-down 1:1 quarter mile, 132ft drag strip is set up in a flat open paved lot. Racers compete with classic style RC muscle cars.

U4RC
Although you may find obstacles similar to traditional RC off-road racing. U4RC has many obstacles unique to rock racing such as rock gardens, sand/silt beds, ruts, dust and other extreme conditions. Those conditions put race rigs to the ultimate test constantly.

Oval
A scaled down from the full-size dirt ovals, radio control oval racing can feature a wide variety of off-road RC vehicles from buggies to short course trucks to stadium trucks.
