If you’re looking for an inexpensive way to keep your LiPos juiced up–especially if you’re field-charging from a DC power source–then Hobby King’s new Pocket Rocket charger is well worth a look. Priced well under $20 and rated for 80 watts, the charger is truly pocket-sized. Its transistor-radio-like styling features a single knob for amp rate adjustment (max 10 amps), and a three-position switch to select battery type–LiPo, LiFe, or Li-Ion. Balance ports support 2S-6S packs, and the charger goes to work as soon as you plug in your pack. All you need to add (other than a DC power source) is your preferred connector–unless you’re already using XT60 plugs, in which case you’re good to go.
