It’s Memorial Day! Drive An RC Car!

I’ve made up my mind: I’m driving an RC car today.  It’s Memorial Day, and most people think of BBQ’s, pools, the start of summer, and (I hope) honoring the courageous service men and women who’ve died for our freedoms.  Being the RC addict I am, I’m going to burn a few packs through my favorite RC monster truck just for fun.

It has come to my attention over the years in RC publishing that servicemen absolutely love RC cars.  I was shocked to discover hundreds if not thousands of US servicemen overseas in Afghanistan, Asia and Europe driving RC cars in their down time off range.  What better way to join in their fun than to drive your favorite RC car outside on Memorial Day where your family, friends and neighbors can watch.  Who knows, you may even get a few people hooked.  The last time I drove a RTR monster truck in my local park, a large crowd of 15-20 people gathered around to watch it perform.

Today we should pause and give thanks for all of the selfless heroes who’ve given their lives for our freedom.  Enjoy the day today however you see fit, whether it’s hitting the beach, BBQ’ing or lounging around your pool, but if you get the chance to play with one of your RC cars, do it.  Fire it up and show everyone how fun RC is.  I can guarantee that some of our servicemen and women overseas and at home will be doing the same thing.  You may hook a few people into RC in the process.

Thank you guys and I hope to see you on the other side. BTW Stephen thank you and Waldo AGAIN for eveything.
