HB Racing E819RS 1/8 Electric Off-Road Buggy

New from HB Racing is the E819RS electric 1/8 buggy. The E819RS takes the race-proven E819 and adds a list of new features designed to make it faster and more durable. Key updates include a new V3 rear shock tower allows racers to adjust the wing height and body mount height. Revised rear shock shafts and lower eyelets offer improved durability. A heavy duty aluminum center chassis brace is now included. Up front are new 17.5° caster blocks, now with larger M4 set screws for improved tightening and added durability. Also included are new steering blocks with 2° inclined kingpins that split the difference between the previous stock 0° blocks and the optional 4° blocks, along with new Delrin steering block spacers. A heavy-duty servo saver has been added, utilizing a stronger spring and matching upper adjustment cap. And, new screw-type shock pins feature standard & reverse threads, and are color coded for easy identification. The E819RS is now supplied with no body shell, reducing the price of the kit and giving racers the ability to choose their own body shell. All of the new parts are backwards compatible with the E819 and E817 V2 buggies, and the E819RS is compatible with most HB spare parts and option parts. The new E819RS follows the HB Racing concept… constant evolution to stay at the front of the pack.

The E819RS has a +2mm 7075 aircraft aluminum chassis, and a 36mm center rear drive shaft for a perfect fit with the chassis. A larger diameter heavy duty aluminum center chassis brace is now included. Standard equipment includes the race-proven HB 4WD system with high strength steel center drive shafts, 43/13 differentials with tough sintered gears, precision machined steel input gears, a heavy duty spur gear, and our popular thin hex hubs. A CNC milled dual clamp aluminum motor mount keeps the motor securely in place, and allows motor changes without having to readjust the gear mesh. To decrease drivetrain rotating weight the steel spur gear is lightened, as are the diff outdrives and center inputs.

The E819RS features steel Universal Joints that are favored by our Team Drivers for improved performance on bumpy tracks. New hard anodized machined aluminum 17.5° front caster blocks now use M4 set screws for improved tightening and added durability. Our RS style V3 rear shock tower allows racers to adjust the wing height and body mount height.

The E819RS suspension features the unique HB Racing monocoque suspension arms that allow fine tuning of the stiffness of the front and rear arms to suit track conditions and driving styles. Racers can adjust the grip and feeling of the arms using optional stiff arms and carbon plates to increase the torsional stiffness of the suspension arms, which gives the car a more forgiving feeling at the limit, especially on high-speed and high-traction corners. Increased clearance ball end links are included for extended suspension travel without binding, and updated body mounts.

HB Racing big bore threaded coilover shock absorbers help soak up extreme bumps, jumps. They’re now secured with screw-type shock pins with standard & reverse threads to prevent loosening, and are color coded for easy identification. The suspension includes front and rear machined hard anodized aluminum shock towers, front and rear sway bars, hinge pin inserts for easy toe and anti-squat settings, and new rear uprights with improved geometry.

The E819RS steering system is built for durability and easy adjustment, and features new steering blocks with 2° inclined kingpins that split the difference between the previous stock 0° blocks and the optional 4° blocks, along with new Delrin steering block spacers. A heavy-duty servo saver has been added, utilizing a stronger spring and matching upper adjustment cap. Steel turnbuckles, aluminum drag link, highly adjustable Ackerman geometry using steering knuckle plates, and CNC machined hard anodized aluminum steering blocks are all standard features. Aluminum front linkage geometry spacers replace the plastic spacers for improved bumpsteer geometry, more precise adjustment, less flex, and we revised the screw lengths to accommodate the new spacers.

The E819RS has a fully adjustable battery mounting system that can handle a wide variety of battery configurations. When using Shorty packs, multiple mounting points allow you to easily move the weight bias fore/aft to help tune the balance of the car. The batteries are held in place securely, and mounted directly on the chassis for the lowest CG possible.

At the rear is our durable high downforce HB molded nylon rear wing. A one-piece high wing mount puts the wing in less turbulent air flow which helps produce more downforce. The new V3 rear shock tower allows racers to adjust the wing height and body mount height. The E819RS is supplied with no body so racers can choose their favorite shell.

The new E819RS takes the best features of the standard E819 and adds the latest new features. The result is an electric 1/8 buggy from HB Racing with legendary durability and race-winning speed.
