Exotek steering rack conversion kit for TLR 22, 22SCT, 22T

Exotek steering rack conversion kit for TLR 22, 22SCT, 22T

After many months of testing and tweaking, Exotek Racing is ready to release a totally redesigned steering system for the TLR 22 based type vehicles. Gone is the slider system in favor a dual bell cranks which will smooth out your steering. A lot of great products are a brewing at the Exotek camp, and this another example of one of them. – Joel Navarro

Here is the press release from Exotek…

Latest from Exotek:

All new CNC machined design with bearings and steel bushings for reliable steering and precise track performance.
This design was carried over from our popular parts for other buggy models and is surprisingly compact and efficient on the 22. The conversion bolts into the stock locations of the 22 chassis with ease and uses all of the stock hardware.
The geometry is spot on with the steering rack working in perfect tandem with the front links and suspension of the 22. The reverse mounted steering cranks matches the movement of the steering knuckles resulting in aligned angles of the steering turnbuckles when turning left and right.
Bump steer can be easily changed by spacing the rack up or down and the steering link angle can be changed by adding spacers to the inboard ball ends.
The inboard ball ends laydown position also helps eliminate the dreaded ball cup pop off’s of the 22SCT.
For proper clearance of the steering rack new heavy duty servo mounts are included so that the servo is positioned 6mm further back. It may be possible with certain servo models to mount the servo on the front side of the mounts if you also used an extra slim servo horn but that may be something discovered down the road. The design is very tunable and so allows for experienced racers to experiment with set ups.

Constructed of high quality alloy with the rack and cranks made of 7075 alloy and all alloy parts anodized in polished gun metal gray.

Please note: Slight grinding of the upper nylon bulkhead is needed to give proper clearance of the servo link ball cups.
Instruction sheet included.

$79.95 MSRP. TLR 22, 22SCT OR 22T REQUIRED. For experienced hobbyists.
