  1. My dad had a stroke which left him Un able to use his right arm I purchased him a rock crawler I think this model will be perfect for him can’t wait to try it and get out on the track with him if my Cars to thanks for posting this

  4. After recently loosing my right arm in a motorbike accident i haven’t been able to use my rc’s this is so simple and cheap it will get me back into the game easily. Great idea. I had come up with a similar idea of something that clamped around outside of wheel with a piece coming off that hugged either side of my thumb, but I would of needed someone to make up the bits for me.

    1. Kurt, I lost the use of my left arm and hand in a motorcycle accident as well. I’ve been rolling the steering wheel with my thumb on various transmitters, set up for both left or right handed, for many years. I put whichever other finger works best on the throttle trigger. my method changes based on ergonomics of the transmitter at the time. I may try Pete’s adaptation out, but it may need TX settings to get full steering throw. I’d like to mount a throttle trigger directly to the steering wheel, but never got around to it. Glad to hear you’re not giving up on RC.
