Dremel Home Solutions Glue Pen

Dremel Home Solutions Glue Pen

Hot glue is one of the most useful adhesives used in all of hobby-dom. From general crafts, model making, diorama building as well as RC, there’s always a great use for durable, sticky glue. In fact, we used hot glue during a recent build of Tamiya’s latest Super Avante 4WD buggy with great success.

Application of hot glue is usually done by a bulky, old-fashioned, slow to heat up glue gun. Glue guns pretty much haven’t changed over the last four or five decades so as you could imagine, we were excited to see Dremel’s modern take on the tool. The Dremel Home Solutions Rechargeable Glue Pen is a cordless, pen-shaped tool that dispenses hot glue through a precision tip. No more getting long, strands of glue everywhere, this tool dabs the amount of glue you need neatly with precision.

The glue pen heats up in only 15-seconds and has a precision nozzle tip that is perfect for detailed gluing and is designed to reduce glue drip too. Its ergonomic pen shape provides extended comfort reducing hand fatigue for extended use and its 4-Volt lithium-ion battery holds a charge for up to 18-months during storage. The pen heats up to 338-degrees F and automatically shuts off after 10 minutes of inactivity for safety. The rechargeable glue pen uses common 0.28 in. (7mm) glue sticks. Four sticks are included in kit.

It’s great to know that Dremel is innovating tools that RC enthusiasts can benefit from. We’re sure to include this glue gun in our pit box for trackside body repairs, weather sealing and other impromptu uses.
