The Artin Toys body that Adam’s Danger Ranger is based on is getting pretty hard to find in nice condition, and when he finally scored a good one he originally planned on making it into an off-road truck. But he received this roughly 1:6-scale body from a friend right around the time that Pro-Line’s Pomona wheels and Hoosier tires came out and they fit together so perfectly that he changed that plan and went for a drag truck instead. To get the right length and stance he went with a homebrew chassis that was built from a Vaterra Twin Hammers front tub and Axial SCX10 rear frame rails. He kept the front and rear suspensions from those trucks as well, narrowing the SCX10 rear axle by ¼-inch to help the tires fit in the wheel wells, and he removed the axles and diff from the Twin Hammers front end.
