We are working on putting a tough truck type competition together for sometime in Sept and it will be held at RC Excitement in Fitchburg, MA. Matt Higgins has two trucks already built for the event and I have decided to build one myself. I based my truck on a Tamiya Toyota Tundra. I wanted to give you guys a sneak peak at my truck. I have a long way to go but I think it’s safe to say that it’s looking pretty good so far. I have to finish up the paint and set up the steering to complete the truck. I have a few other things that I’m going to add to put this truck over the top so stay tuned. We hope that you guys will join us for our tough truck comp. We are planning on having a rock crawl, mud bog, truck pull and more. If you don’t have a truck yet, get one and start building.

  1. guess not

  2. awsome truck!!!! are there a list of classes or events rules limits etc im in fla but may make a rc roadtrip……

  3. The paint was done with Testors paint and my Tamiya Airbrush. A lot of masking with Parma Fastape and I used my Sticka cutter to make the stencils.

Those are the tires that I’m running on the truck. We are going to have different types of terrain.

  4. looks sweet! are you going to be doing a truggy bed, and any thoughts on swithing to the new 1.9 Rock beast pitbull tires? saw them being run at the Goldendale Qualifier, amazingly sticky tire compound! beat my proline tsls in traction on the rock, and the tsls are very sticky tires.

i would try to make it, but i’m on the other side of the country.

  5. Nice Truck! How did you manage the paintwork? Good luck!
