HPI Opens New USA Design Office

If you’ve been following the HPI Racing saga, you know that the popular brand was purchased by UK distributor Ripmax. Since the buy-out, the “new” HPI has been posting regular updates about the brand’s progress, including the state of the eagerly-anticipated Venture FJ. The latest news from HPI (via R&D manager Dave Potter) is a welcome return to California, with the opening of a new USA design office (HPI Racing Designs LLC) staffed by key members of the former stateside HPI team. Said Dave,

“I’m so thrilled to work with the same great team that understands what the essence of HPI Racing is about. We cannot wait to get more amazing new products to the market.

On the manufacturing front, Ripmax CEO Nick Moss announced that HPI’s former production channels are being reestablished, and a new manufacturing plant will be added. That dovetails nicely into HPI’s commitment to keeping the replacement parts pipeline filled. Citing the new design center and resurgent manufacturing capability, Nick is enthusiastic about restoring HPI to full strength.

“Launching a design house that encompasses all that HPI stands for, plus a core, proprietary manufacturing center have always been central to our plan. These developments represent great strides forward for the group of companies as we look towards a bright future for HPI Racing!”
