Tim Bloore’s Custom Jeep Wrangler Unlimited [Reader’s Ride]

Tim Bloore, of Barrie, Ontario Canada sent us pix of his super-scale 1:8 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The body is a New Bright shell hung on custom frame rails. Running gear is mostly Wraith-based; with Vanquish Wraith axles, links, Panhard bar, chubs, knuckles and lockouts. The light bar is also from Vanquish. Hot Racing supplied hardened gears and the Jeep wears titanium rear axle shafts with Junfac drive shafts. GMade XD 103mm shocks give it the right stance and clearance. There’s a CYS 7.4V titanium servo on a custom dual front servo mount. There’s an RC4WD front bumper with Year Racing D-rings, a Lockedup Fairlead, and a King Kong Gold hook on a TZI winch using a HayOK winch controller. The driveline consists of a TopCad Orange aluminum transmission case, Robinson Racing transmission gears, a steel spur gear, a Lockedup slipper eliminator and a Robinson Racing Absolute pinion with the stock gear ratio. Power comes courtesy of a Tekin ROC 412 2300kV motor with a Castle Creation Mamba Max Pro controller.  It rolls on VooDoo U4 Gold Dot tires wrapped around GripFab 1 offset 2.2 wheels. There’s a VSCustoms light kit and a bunch of other miscellaneous scale parts from YeahRacing. Only the size of the trees in the background gives away the scale of this beauty!
