When: Saturday April 1st 2017
The weather was great with 70 degrees out on an April Fool’s afternoon.
The off-shore format was changed to a true off-shore race meaning there are left as well as right turns on an “M” shaped course. The heats are timed to 4 minutes making it somewhat of an endurance race. In Heat 1 Bill’s boat shot out like a cannon putting his competitors in a position of trying to “Catch Up” all day. Bill finished the race over 7 laps ahead of the pack!
The Sport Hydro class was exciting with the Bill’s pink boat. Bill just stayed consistent and kept the wet side down to slide into 1st place for the day.
The kid’s class was adorable, and Bill lent the kids his TenShock Formula 1 boat! These little boats are super-fast, super exciting, and best of all they are self-righting! Meaning if they flip over, they come right side up on their own!
Bill had this to say on the race:
“What a great start to the season man! I love the confidence of starting the season in the lead. I also love the confidence my Venom batteries instill in me. These batteries have kept me ahead of the pack since the day I padded one into my boat. That little TenShock tunnel is an exciting little boat! Hits close to 50 mph, and comes Ready To Rock with battery, charger, radio, stand, extra prop, the whole 9 yards all for around 400bux! The kids really enjoyed its self-righting ability. Also thanks to my other great sponsors, Sanwa and HOBBYWING!”
