Continuing his hot streak of success, Atsushi Hara eliminated the competition this past weekend at the Japanese National Championships for 1/8th buggy!
HB driver Hayato Matsuzaki took the pole position with his HB D8, while Hara secured third with a solid run in his semi-final heat. The one-hour race took place under clear and sunny skies, with Hara taking the lead early on and holding on until the checkered flag, getting an extra lap over the whole field!
TQ Matsuzaki come home in second place and Hara took a victory lap as he was congratulated by the team and pit man ‘Pappa’ Murai-san.
This weekend Hara and the HB team head to Thailand to compete in the IFMAR 1/12th scale World Championships and the International Scale Touring Car (ISTC) World Championships, using the latest version of the Cyclone 12 and the Cyclone TC!
