Asphalt-Burning Bronco Slash GT [READER’S RIDE]

3D-printed scale accessories for crawlers are pretty common these days, but Daniel Porter wanted something a little different. He bought himself a printer and started by revamping drag car wings and diffusers he had previously built in styrene and aluminum, but he also wanted to do something with Pro-Line’s Bronco body. That’s when it hit it to combine the two and create this: the Bronco GT. It sits on a Traxxas Slash 4×4 with the LCG chassis. Power comes from a Castle Creations Mamba Monster 2 controller and a 2650Kv motor. Upgrades include Fastlane Machine aluminum A-arms, Pro-Line HD Axles, and a Tekno center drive shaft. Daniel favor’s the Slash for its versatility and wide array of aftermarket parts, but really this project is about the look. On went a suitable diffuser and splitter for the front. The boxy Bronco needed help with downforce so he added a wing to the roof. The hood wears a replica of the hood scoop on Ken Block’s Hoonicorn Mustang. To help reduce drag and add ventilation he cut out the rear window and tailgate and covered it with mesh, then added a pair of exhaust tips to finish it off.
