Compiling A List of the hottest products for the year ahead is never an easy task, and 2013 certainly was a challenge.  With so much going on in the hobby these days, it was hard to keep it to just 20 and we found ourselves torn about how limit all this great stuff…so, we narrowed it down to over 30 instead! Without further delay, here are the latest and greatest vehicles, accessories, electronic goodies and everything else in between that will set 2013 on fire!

Traxxas Takes Flight

Traxxas takes to the skies! The new QR-1 (Quad Rotor) and DR-1 (Dual Rotor) helicopters are fully equipped for flight with gyro-stabilization, 4-channel 2.4GHz control, and LiPo power with an included charger.  The DR-1′s coaxial rotor design delivers super-stable hovering and easy control, while the ultra-responsive QR-1 is capable of very fast flight and extreme maneuvers, including flips, rolls, and banked turns.  Its powerful quadmotors even let you fly outside.  The transmitter’s LCD display shows the digital trim settings, as well as flight mode-learn the controls in “normal,” then click over to “expert” mode for even faster flight.  You can even customize each channel and set the controls to match your skill and flying style.  Both come wrapped in bold graphics, and the DR-1′s anodized aluminum accents add strength and style.

Team Associated Pro-Lite 4X4

The first in Team Associated’s “Qualifier” series of budget-minded RTR’s, this shaft-driven 4WD short course truck was designed from the ground up to provide the entry-level hobbyist with confidence inspiring durability and sporty performance.  Though offered at a lower price than the company’s race-spec RTRs, the Pro-Lite 4×4 comes complete with the Reedy 550-SL motor water resistant XP1200 ESC from the SC10 4×4 RTR.

Trakpower Dual VR-1 Charger

This VR-1 charger looks like it could just about launch things into space.  The charger features a backlit tilt screen, dual charging capability, and build-in balancing.  The VR-1 is designed to sit on top of TrakPower’s new power supply, has a USB output that’s good for charging your phones and handheld devices, and can save up to 40 profiles.  Now that’s a lot of batteries!

JConcepts Illuzion – 2012 Ford F-250 Super Duty XLT Supercab

JConcepts pulled out all the stops with this officially licensed Ford F-250 body.  The body is designed to fit on the nine most popular short course trucks out there including the Associated SC10, Traxxas Slash and Losi 22SCT. It features strong designs in the grille and the side fender areas to give it ultra-aggressive styling as well as hi-flow cutouts and a special cutout above the tailgate that works like a spoiler.
