Throwback Thursday: 2007 Readers Ride of the Year Rally Hummer

You’re looking at the work of Dennis van der Meulen, who built this stunning rally-ready Hummer from Tamiya’s M1025 kit (discontinued–bring it back, Tamiya!). There’s a lot more going on here than a paint job; Dennis fabbed up many scale details, including an interior. The snorkel, roof rack, bumpers and more are all hand made–the ready-to-install scale accessories we enjoy today weren’t around back in 2007.
