Tip #1:

Keep your car clean. It is much easier to spot things that are wrong if your car is looking good.

Tip #2:

Listen to everything you hear, but try it out before you put it in your tuning book. You could ask 10 people the same question and get 10 different answers, so trying things yourself is the best way to know what works for you.

Tip #3:

Preparation! Showing up to a race prepared has no match. The more things that can be done ahead of time the better.

Tip #4:

Never give up. Many times during a race I have found myself thinking I am out of it, but later I am kicking myself because I could have done better. The race isn’t over until it’s over.

Tip #5:

Start off slow. Start each race at a pace that won’t ruin your chances in the end.

Tip #6:

Have fun and meet new people. I have been doing this for 12 years and I wouldn’t trade the people and memories along the way for anything.
